The Box
The heart of the system is the box. It has both an elliptical outline and the bottom is also elliptical.
This shape lends itself to the effective distribution of load forces and increased stability in foam. The most unique feature is the elliptically domed dam. This shape allows fiberglass cloth to drape over the dam easily, making it simple to get a clean, air-free lamination over the box. But more importantly, it means the layers of cloth over the box fit tight to the dam, enhancing the integrity of the installation.
Routing System
A complete routing system is provided to simplify the installation process.
A complete routing system is provided to simplify the installation process. This system includes a routing jig to guide the router when creating a cavity in the surfboard foam—a router base with an integrated guide bushing for Makita trim routers. A layout guide also fits within the jig to position it on the shaper's marks. Finally, there is a router bit and depth gauge. Additionally, a trim spacer is provided that allows the router to be used to trim down the dam of the box.

We provide as much information as possible to help our customers be successful with the new system. To this end, we have a lot of different resources that can be helpful. These include layout guides to help pick the perfect fin setup. As well as information on the system and the requirements for fins to fit this box.
